Pages – tagging and linking

  Pages- how can I put tags on them and how can I get them to link to my twitter/FB account when I update them

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Pages don’t have that option. Tags, categories and Publicize are only available for posts. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/

  I have an events page and want people to know when that’s updated, any idea how to do that?

  You’ll either have to share it manually, or create a post which tells readers the page has been updated, linking to that page.

  The way posts and pages work has to do with the structure of the software running our sites. Upgrades make no difference to that. Even if you set up a self-hosted site with WordPress.org, you’ll still have posts, which are updated regularly and can be tagged, and pages, which are mostly static and usually can’t have tags. The two types of content have a completely different purpose, as explained in the support doc I linked above, and as such behave differently in terms of what is possible to do with each.
