Pages that go straight to non-wordpress html
-
I just started using wordpress and I love it. But I have a bunch of photo galleries that I have created in the past and which I want to still be able to access from the front page of my wordpress site.
It seems that the best way to do this is with a wordpress “page” because I can create a hierarchy. But what I want is to be able to click on the home page on a page link called “Kevin’s Birthday” and have it pop (in a new window) an index.html page in another folder on my site.
Any ideas on how I can do this?
Thanks
Justin

Are you hosted at WordPress.com? If not, you need to read the thread marked Read Me First.
You can format any link in a text widget or in the page body to open in an external window, using the HTML. If you don’t know HTML you can compose it using the Visual Editor and click over and copy the code from the Code view, then paste that into your text widget.
