Pages widget does not render menu faithfully
-
I am using the template Hemingway Rewritten. I have created a menu structure and it displays properly in the default location at the bottom of the header. I want to have it also appear in the right column, supposing the widget Pages would do that. The template only allows one menu, so I created a custom menu and instructed Pages to use that menu in the right column. The content is rendered, but not in the order that I want it (and how it does appear in the default menu location). Any thoughts on how to get the widget to perform properly?
I’m a WordPress newbie just creating this site and have the site restricted to Private viewing to prevent sharing my work-in-progress.
Thanks for your assistance.

You used the wrong widget. Use the custom menu widget instead http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/custom-menu-widget/
The whole menu bar is the one custom menu. Many bloggers get off track and don’t realize that they can add as many items to the single custom menu as they want to. Read this carefully http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/06/30/posts-on-pages/
There are many common errors, misunderstandings and misconceptions when creating custom menus and there are some tweaks you can use to improve your custom menu as well.

Great. I’ll try that right now. Sometimes I feel stupid so I appreciate your gentle correction.

Oh, that was so slick, quick and easy. Thank you so much. Looks perfect now after 15 seconds of hard labor.

I’m glad you got things working. I completely forgot that you can add a custom menu widget as well. Thanks @timethief.
