Pages without the widget column?

  Not a problem, but a situation and question.
  :-)
  I wonder if there is a way that I can have pages without the right hand column that holds widgets and such, or is that a static provision of the theme.

  IF that is the case, does the ‘Pro’ upgrade give me that flexibility?

  IF not, are there themes where this is possible. I want a splash landing page that is simple and looks like a standard web landing zone.

  There are actually a number of themes that don’t have a sidebar on single page views, so if you use a static front page, that should work out.

  Twenty Eleven is one of the most popular like this.

  Otherwise, you could need a Custom Design upgrade to effectively remove it.

  With the custom design upgrade then–could I make the desired change with my current theme? Or for that matter with any theme?
  It seems a simple thing to be able to remove a column on a page.
