Pageviews for yesterday are different in different parts of Dashboard

I understand there have been some hiccups with stats recently, but I’m not sure whether what I’m seeing is a bug or me misunderstanding the figures.
On my Dashboard, the stats page states “Busiest day: 1,012 — Thursday, June 11, 2009”
However, when I click the link for that day, the resulting page says “Pageviews: 945”Shouldn’t these two figures be the same, or is there some subtle difference that I don’t know about?

Yes, staff is doing some fiddling with stats tonight. I’d wait it out and see if it settles down by the morning. You can also report it directly to them:

Thanks, I wasn’t sure if the earlier problems had been resolved or not. Will check again tomorrow and get in touch with support if the problem persists.

Thought I should report that my stats have been playing up: registering highest views on the wrong day – registering the wrong amount of views.
Not really too bothered, but I guess you like feedback.

I sent a report into support the other day about the same thing, my busiest day is off about 800 views to what it should be. My busiest day was June 15th, just a couple of days ago. It still stats 800 or so short of the actual total.

Support got back to me yesterday and told me that the figure on the day page (945) was the correct figure, and my ‘busiest day’ figure was amended by Support to reflect that.

I am now witnessing busiest day being incorrect. I also had a change on my dashboard under the stats area. All my Top post numbers and most active posts look as though they have started over. The counts have really dropped and I know they are not accurate. I’ve contacted support and am awaiting a reply or fix.
