Paginated Navigation Update Release?

  Hi WordPress Staff and Community,

  First off I would like to acknowledge the amazing support staff and WordPress community. Truly, the only reason I continue to blog with WordPress.

  Having said that, I am using a premium theme “Elemin” which does not have “Infinite Scroll” and thus, I have no choice but to use “Load More Posts” which is extremely archaic and user unfriendly.

  While researching for solutions I came across several forum responses by WordPress staff and engineers claiming that you guys maybe coming up with a release for Paginated Navigation on the Home Page for eg “Page 1 of 5 1 2 3 4 5 Next Last” It would be so magical and awesome, because write now both the choices – Infinite scroll and load more posts suck – to put it very bluntly :)

  Any news regarding this update or if you guys are even working on this would be appreciated. And i think most WordPress.com users along with me.

  Having said that, I am using a premium theme “Elemin” which does not have “Infinite Scroll”

  Elemin does support Infinite Scroll, but you would need to remove your footer widgets to use it. Infinite Scroll only works without footer widgets.

  I’m not sure if you know, but as a premium theme, Elemin actually has its own support forum, where you’ll get a reply directly from the theme developer:

  Would you mind terribly reposting your question about future pagination plans there, where the developers will see it?

  I actually did, but all I got was an affirmation. But what I really want to know is if there is any work being done on it as we speak or what we can expect?

  And yea! not a fan of Infinite Scroll either :(

  The theme team would be best placed to guide you on any future Elemin pagination development. If your original post was a while ago, you may want to revisit the topic with them in the Elemin forum.
