paging and category

  Hello,
  Lately I have dabbled in wordpress and my questions may look funny but I cannot find solutions for them now.

  Firstly, where can I activate the paging and define the publications’s number on a single page?
  Secondly, the category’s menu’s html structure is:

  <ul>
     <li>
        <a>cat_name</a>
     </li>
  </ul>

  what and where should I change to become like this:

  <ul>
     <li>
        <a>
           <span>
              cat_name
           </span>
           <span>
              category_description
           </span>
        </a>
     </li>
  </ul>

  Do you mean paging for the blog posts themselves or paging within a post?

  Paging problem was that I use templates and also has the option of setting a contender postovene page.
  I thought that overlaps that of wordpress itself because of reezheshe them as it was asked, but not showing paging.
  I configure and there is fine All of the many thanks. A second problem concerning any idea?

  Are you aware of the differences between wordpress.com and wordpress.org? here at wordpress.com we do not have FTP access and cannot uploade templates or plugins. Here we cannot access, let alone, edit the templates underlying our themes. I think reading this will be helpful > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
