Paid $99, didn't get the right domain name, help?
-
I woke up this morning and decided to start a new blog. I wanted to purchase kitchenshanti.com along with the basic package WordPress says is an “upgrade” for $99. So I’ve paid the $99, payment was processed. Considering what I read when I made the purchase, I thought that kitchenshanti.com was going to be registered and I’d be able to use that as my domain right away, but instead it created an alternative blog link kitchenshantidotcom.wordpress.com. I DID NOT PAY A HUNDRED BUCKS SO I CAN HAVE A TERRIBLE URL. How do I resolve this? Do I have to pay the seventeen bucks also for a domain? I thought I was avoiding that by paying the $99 for the name AND the extra space. Honestly would not have paid the $99 if I knew I’d have to pay an additional $17. Did I just get cheated out of my money, or did something just go wrong? EIther way, who do I contact for help, how do I resolve the domain name issue, and how do I get a refund if they expect me to pay more money?
