Paid but can't entriely remove .wordpress. from url.
-
I recently bought my domain name to remove .wordpress. from my url address (I’m now http://www.mercurialmonds.com). But although when I type the new address into the url bar it takes me to my site, all of my images in a google search are linked to http://www.mercurialmonds.wordpress.com entitled domain. I thought I paid in order to remove the “wordpress” bit entirely. Is there a way of ensuring the ONLY address linked to my blog is .wordpress. free?
Thanks so much :)
PS – even the help section is suggesting my website is .wordpress. right now …
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress.com automatically sends notifications to Google with every post and page update. The search engines can take 4-6 weeks or more to add any new sites. Read this page for more information about WordPress.com and Search Engines.
You can verify your domain at the search engines with Webmaster tools. Please follow the steps in this guide on how to set it up: http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/

That’s really helpful :)
I did the Webmaster domain verification and I’ll be patient with the search engines updating.
Thank you! -
