Paid Content – A coulple of questions
-
Hi.
So, I just discovered this “Paid Content” feature.
I’ve set up 2 payment plans, and both of them are set to “Email newly published posts to your customers.”
Can we agree, that from now on, paying subscribers will get an email whenever I post something?
Next question.
When selecting a subscription plan, the visitor is presented with these options:

How do I remove the “Free” option?
Last question, for now:
Is there any way to customize the emails that are being sent to the subscriber?
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

In particular, you will want to ensure that your new blog posts are set to be visible to paid subscribers only – this way they can only access the post if they have purchased your plan. We do have information about it in the Paid Newsletters guide!
How do I remove the “Free” option?
The free option can’t be removed, as the paid newsletter system is based on the general Jetpack/WordPress.com email subscription function. However, if you have set your blog posts to only be available to paid subscribers (as mentioned above) then any “free” subscribers will simply not be able to access the post content.
Is there any way to customize the emails that are being sent to the subscriber?
Typically no; the emails are sent via our system. However it could be worth checking directly with the Mailpoet folks if their email templates can be used in conjunction with the new post notification emails!
