Paid for 10 credits TWICE, nothing was added to my account.

I went to add a domain I currently own to the blog, and when I did it the prompt came to purchase ten credits via Paypal. I’ve transferred money over twice, and yet it shows I have zero credits.

Please help me out, as if something doesn’t show up tonight I’m going to request a refund.

I don’t know if PayPal works instantly always. If you still haven’t seen anything in two days or so, contact Support directly via the form or by email.

Oh, and they don’t do refunds, even if you’ve been overcharged.

The no refund policy is stated here http://timethief.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php

We do not offer refunds on credits or products purchased on WordPress.com.

However, I believe staff can help you sort this so please do contact them.

For future reference: NEVER pay for anything twice on any site. Sometimes there is simply a delay in communication between the payment software and the service provider. Other times, the service provider simply didn’t get the acknowledgement. If you use PayPal, the payment will show up in the list. If it’s there, you know for a fact that the payment went through. There is no logical reason to pay again. Instead, you contact the service provider to find out why their system didn’t register the payment.

As wank and timethief pointed out, WordPress has a “no refund policy”. If you start the refund process through PayPal, you will be breaking your agreement and could cause trouble.

Since you did it because of a technical misunderstanding instead of a “changed your mind” thing, WordPress may be able to work with you on it. So, contact Support as suggested. But, do not get your hopes up since it technically was your fault for sending payment twice.
