Paid for Premium but still shows Free – Help

    Hi Folks,

I upgraded to premium last month and my site still shows free. Can someone tell me why this might be? I have a bluehost domain name that is mapped to wp.com. I have contacted we CS at WP twice – not heard back – and their chat won’t load so I’m feeling like, well, I just need help….

    Thanks.

    Hi,
I’m sorry things don’t seem to be working right for you.

I’ve added “modlook” to the sidebar tags on this thread to bring it to WordPress.com staff attention.

  • Hi there,

I checked your account and see that you purchased the JetPack Premium upgrade, not the WordPress.com Premium upgrade. I take it you meant to purchase the latter? it’s why you see a purchase under your WordPress.com blog.

However, I see both a JetPack version of your site as well as a WordPress.com site. Are you wanting your site hosted with WordPress.com?

If that is the case, I would be happy to switch upgrades for you. Let me know and I’ll take care of it for you.

    Cheers,

I think you are the first person to help me make sense of this. Yes, I think that’s what happened. Although I have both .com and .org (plus, the site was originally purchased at Bluehost and has been mapped to wordpress) – there’s just too much going on under the same domain name.

I only know how to access and use http://www.reallearning4kids.com/pw-admin. This takes me to the dotcom website. I want to be able to use the jetpack features and learn to edit CSS from that access point. I will also need the extra storage. If you can help me clear this up so I can continue on that site with that admin access, I would be very thankful.

I don’t have any idea what to do with the other account. Blue host told me the you host both but I have no idea how to access another site. Everything I use as an access point sends me back to my current site, from all directions, so I can’t tell how I’m getting there or if I’m looking at a ,com or .org site….thanks for your help. Please just tell me what to do. It sounds like your suggestion would work.

    Thanks.

  • Okay, I added WordPress.com Premium to your account and removed JetPack Premium.

Now you both have JetPack features available (since your site is hosted with WordPress.com) and you have the ability for more space and the use of CSS via WordPress.com Premium.

Now, I do see that you have a self-hosted site connected to your WordPress.com account via the JetPack plugin, but like you said, the domain associated with it is pointed over your WordPress.com site. Were you building a WordPress.org site as well? If that is the case, I would believe Bluehost could help you with regaining access to the site.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!

Thanks. I’ll take that up with bluehost.
