Paid options to enable Custom Fields?

Are there any paid services that enable the use of custom fields. I’m currently working on integrating our blog with our site using the rest API. But we need to be able to enter custom data not visible on the post page but still able to access the data via the REST api. This will enable us to link a post to an entity in our database.

So far everything i have found suggests this is only possible when self hosting. I wanted to make sure that there are not any paid solutions. We have been happy paying for the premium solution but this might force us to look at other alternatives.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There are no paid solutions other than possibly the $30,000 per year VIP program.

Yeah, my company is not going to pick that over a WordPress Hosted Service costing a very small fraction of that price.

Its a shame, this would be a good option for businesses if they can figure out how to do it while still having things locked down the way they want.

At the moment i think something like WPEngine.com might be our best bet

One of the tradeoff’s here is that you can’t get to the internals of a blog – that is a security, reliability and performance reason

I have heard nice things about WP Engine – good luck

Yeah i get that, Surly there is a way to store custom data and have it exposed to via the API though with out affecting Security, Reliability or Performance.

In the end its just data that is no difference from the data being stored in the post itself.
