Paid Subscription and Report the content

    Hi,

    I am into IT research and would like to use WordPress.com Premium ($99 per year) to sell my content on monthly subscription basis by making my website ‘private’ (invite members only). I would be using third party tools (like recurly, gumroad etc) to charge customers for subscriptions and would manually invite members to my WP.com website. Are we allowed to do so, I mean charge people to access my content on WP.com

    Secondly do we have ‘Report this content’ button in Premium version, since I would be curating content from the open web (not page scraping but pure open source intelligence). I don’t want my website to vanish just because someone reported the content.

    Are you allowed to? Yes. Do you have a report this content button on private blogs? Yes, since even private blogs may be in violation of the Terms of Service. The solution is not to violate them; get permission of the copyright holders before using copyrighted information.
