Paid support to ensure move from wordpress.org to wordpress.com
-
I hoped you may offer paid support for a temporary time. I would like to move my main blog on WordPress.org to WordPress.com. I’m using the same theme for both, Automattic’s Twenty Eleven. My goal is accessibility for my parents and teachers of special needs kids. For example, the audio needs to work everywhere, especially on Android mobile and apple devices. (presently experiementing with Dropbox links.)
My main hope is to buy a type of “guided transfer” support package (if it exists) from WordPress.com to have staff support (if I need it) for initial setup, thus minimizing the down time. Do you have the time or plan for this?
Thank you very much for your consideration and MUCH thanks for the wonderful work you do.

The WordPress.org blog is http://howtoread.proThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That looks like a very simple job. I’m sure you could handle this on your own, but have flagged this for staff as well. There are also several experienced people who volunteer in the forum who could do this, like Timethief or TheSacredPath.

We only offer a Guided Transfer for those that want to move from a WordPress.com to a WordPress.org blog.
You can follow the steps in this guide on how to import your self-hosted WordPress.org site to your WordPress.com blog: http://en.support.wordpress.com/import

I agree with raincoaster, it is a simple process but there are experienced users who could arrange paid support if you really need it

Thank you all so much for your encouragement.
Kardotim, how about the sitemap that was put on the wordpress.org blog from a WPplugin? Will the sitemap XML file import into the wordpress.com blog?
