Paid upgrade, but my wp site is still not mapped to my custom site
-
I paid for domain registration and mapping when I set my blog up through wp, but it seems as though my site is still not mapped right. I have looked at the tutorial for this, and they tell you to buy the upgrade and do it all over again. It’s been about 20 hours since I set this up, so I figured it would have had time to update.
tomokoandlinden.com
should be mapped to
tomokoandlinden.wordpress.comAny ideas on how I can make this happen without paying another 20bucks?

Has 72 hours expired? It can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient and to know that the last ISP to flush their DNS caches is likely to be your own ISP.

You could just wait, assuming that the Upgrades page shows that the purchases went through correctly. It typically takes up to 72 hours for the DNS to settle down. Check the Upgrades and Domains page to double check that the purchase went through.

Did you do the primary domain set up correctly? In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from. If you have registered a .wordpress.com blog you log in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchase a domain name by purchasing an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade for the blog.

What do you see at
Dashboard >> Store >> My Upgrades?
Dashboard >> Store >> billing History?Domain Helper shows the domain as not registered. Check and see if you were charged for the domain Registration
I have flagged this for the staff to help if you were charged but did not get the registration – you can also try registering the domain again – worst that happens if the staff will need to refund you the second charge
Hold Your Horses!
It can take as long as 72 hours for DNS changes to become widely available. If you’re still not seeing your site loading at tomokoandlinden.com, please wait a few more hours, clear your browser cache, and try again.
Domain Not RegisteredIt looks like the domain tomokoandlinden.com has not been registered. You can register and associate it with your blog from your domain management screen.

Hi @lindencharlton – It looks like there was a glitch and the domain did not actually register. I’ve canceled it and added $26 in paid credits to your account, so you won’t have to pay again. Can you please register the domain once more here:
