Paid wordpress code editing version

  When and if I pay to move to the custom platform where I can edit the code, how does it work? Is the basic platform still there? And just the ability to code and do whatever you want is there? Or is it basically a blank screen that you have to html the entire thing top to bottom?

  I am sure that someone who has used it can add more, but one option is the guided transfer, where the staff will set up a custom blog for you with all the content, html, and widgets that you currently use.

  The alternative is to do it yourself with a base install of the .org software. Even this will come with html themes and templates though.
