Paiement failure when purchasing a Domain Mapping

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello,
I want to purchase a Domain mapping for my blog
    – adibegnins.wordpress.com
It doesnot work: When trying to pay with the credit card or my paypal account, I get a message the Payment is not valid.

At the same time, doing exactly the same on my other blog safenergie.wordpress.com, I go through and can access my paypal account…

It seems my adibegnins.wordpress.com blog has a problem.
Could you help me solve this and enable me purchasing a Domain mapping option?

    Thanks in advance.
    Olivier

    Hi Olivier,

Are you presented with an error message on the blog adibegnins.wordpress.com? I don’t see any failed transactions for that blog. I don’t see any other purchases for safenergie.wordpress.com either. However, I do see purchases for man00ch.wordpress.com.

Please let me know what error message you’re receiving (if you are receiving one) so I can troubleshoot further!

    Hy Jeremy,
great to hear from a staff member, I am dealing with this since one week, and even contacted Paypal support to try to find a solution…

    You are right:
on adibegnins.wordpress.com, no transaction : I want but I cannot
on safenergie.wordpress.com, no transaction: we are not ready yet. Even tough, I processed until I accessed the Paypal login page (what I CAN NOT on adibegnins.wordperss.com)
on man00ch.wordpress.com I mapped on http://www.manoo.ch for a coupe of years.

Therefore, I do not understand why I can not purchase on adibegnins.wordrpress.com; neither with the credit card (what I want), nor with my Paypal Account (what I tried as alternative)

I would like to send you the screenshots I made already, but it seems I cannot upload them over here. Let’s try to explain in words:
    1. in the store, I choose the mapping product (13$)
    2. I do the process (choosing the “mapping an domain that I already registered”
    3. Typing the “adibegnins.ch” DNS
    4. I access the payment page with Credit Card and Paypal options.
    5. which ever option I choose, when clicking the “purchase…13$” blue button, a translucid layer comes over the page with a “Processing” turning star icone, which turns 6-8 seconds, than disappears and a message occur on the top of the screen “The payment is not valid”.
BUT, doing the same, on the same machine, in the same session, with my unique WordPress account on the safenergie.wordpress.com, I access the Paypal login page, which shows that it works…

    Why not on adibegnins.wordpress.com?

Best THANKS for helping me. We should present the blog tomorrow to the Association here, and it will be great to have there http://www.adibegnins.ch DNS wording and leading to the site.

    Olivier
(If there’s any way to let you see the screenshots, let me now I may post/send you them.)

    Hi Olivier,

That’s extremely odd. I’m not seeing anything that would prevent you from making a purchase on adibegnins.wordpress.com. The payment page (both credit card and PayPal) are loading correctly on my side. Can you upload those screenshots to your Media Library? That way, I’ll be able to take a look.

    Hi Jeremy,
    my screenshots are uploaded…
    It really obvious.
Also as I might access the paypal login page, when doing it on the safenergie.wordpress.com blog and not on the adibegnins.wordpress.com…

I do not know if you are equiped with such a tool, but we might try to do it live on my machine sharing the screen so that you might see it live…

Note: I also tried to use 2 different PCs to do it: same “behavior”, meaning probably that the problem is not on the client machine side.
