Paragraph breaks
-
I’ve searched the support topics on the site and I can’t seem to find a definitive answer to this issue.
On my blog, I’m trying to make 2 line breaks. But whenever I save the blog post, it always seems to delete all but one of the line breaks.
As an example, here was a post I was playing around with: http://asdfasdfadsf.wordpress.com/2009/05/09/test/
Here’s what I’m trying to do (hopefully it’ll work on the forums):
Line one is right here.
Line two is right here. There is a large break in between the two lines of text instead of just one line.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yeah, my example didn’t work on the forums, it doesn’t let you do more than one paragraph break either. There is no “Preview Post” button so I could see if it would actually work; I had to just post it blind. Ignore the example I tried to give.

Some themes seem to overwrite these breaks. I think this has the longest list of what works in most themes:

This is also relevant, though it’s quite old:

Awesome, thanks for the link. Using

seems to work for me. Have you ever ran into that problem on your blog? -
I simply don’t bother even TRYING to do formatting beyond making sure the pictures look good with the text. Saves so much time!

Here are some other ways to add blank lines:
