Why are my paragraph breaks not saving?

    Hi –

I’ve been happily posting for about a month now, and for the first time strange things are afoot. WordPress isn’t saving nor letting me create paragraph breaks. It keeps removing them, which makes my post one enormous block.

Strangely, about the same time this started, something else began. When I hit “save draft” or when I open a post into the editor, even when viewer is set to “visual,” the text first appears as HTML code, then a beat later as turns into visual, regular text.

This is happening to me on my “2001 (1968, Kubrick)” still-unpublished post. (There are 2, as I tried making a second one, but I copied and pasted, so maybe I just brought over the same problem.)

    Can you help me?
    Thanks so much!

  • Did you sort all this out? I see the post you mentioned as loading paragraph breaks normally.

If you’re pasting content in from Microsoft Word or from another text editor it can sometimes add additional formatting that causes text to not be properly formatted. You can see this if you click the HTML tab in your editor. If there are any <div> tags wrapping around the content than that is what’s causing it.

Let us know if you need any more help.
