paragraph breaks missing in "latest posts" page

    I created a page with a block for latest posts so I can sort my posts alphabetically, but the post content that it pulls in does not include paragraph or line breaks. It is all just one large paragraph of text. It shows up fine in the actual post, but does not render correctly in the “latest posts” block. I did paste the content, as text in the classic editor, from a Google Doc and when editing as html it shows paragraph and line breaks. Is there a particular way that the “latest posts” block handles things differently?

    This is the page with the “latest posts” block with a few different posts made in different ways. You can see that the paragraphs run together on that page but the individual posts pages seem ok. I am using the Blank Canvas theme and it looks the same when I preview other themes.
