  Hi, Do you have any idea why the featured post photo turns dark?

  Hi there!

  It looks like the theme was set up to set a duotone filter on featured images on individual post pages.

  To fix this, go to Appearance > Editor, choose Templates, then choose Single to select the single post template.

  You’ll then want to click the featured image placeholder, open the duotone filter options, and click the “unset” to remove that filter. Here’s a screenshot that should help:

  

  Then make sure you save the changes to that template and that should take care of it!
