PARAGRAPH FORMATTING

  • Unknown's avatar

I love Duster theme, which I migrated to with great satisfaction. There only one problem: I’m not able to format text through the PARAGRAPH menu.
Any change I do, the text remains exactly as it was. What’s wrong? me? Duster?
    please help me

    thanks

Hi Marco. As no one has replied yet, I thought I’d try to help. Could you please provide the link for a post where the paragraphs are not behaving the way you want?

hi Airodyssey, thank you for writing.

all texts contained in posts or pages do not behave as I would expect, I mean as it they whre behaving before migrating from the precedent theme (can’t remember its name right now) to this new one.

problem are not only on text migrated but also on new one, created after migration.
I’ve published a page with test on different options here

    http://marcoambrosi.wordpress.com/formatting-test/

    as you can see

heading 4, heading 5, paraghraph, address they all give the same result
heading 1 and heading 2 give exactly the same

thanks a lot for your intereste

    marco

ah…. there is another problem: i did not set up a different format for iphone, cause I generally don’t like the poverty of result. Before changin I could have an almost perfect view of my blog on my iPhone.

now, if you can check it you will notice that all elements are squeezed on the left side, with an absolutely ugly impression.

This is what is in the source code for that post.

    <h1>heading 1</h1>
    <h2>heading 2</h2>
    <h3>heading 3</h3>
    <h4>heading 4</h4>
    <h5>heading 5</h5>
    <h1><span style="font-size: 10px;">heading 6</span></h1>
    <p>paraghraph</p>

As you notice, they are correct, it is just that in the CSS for Duster, h1 and h2 are the same size and font as is h4 and h5. h3 is different. h6 seems to have been set as h1 and then the font size was reduced. Strange I know, but that is the way the theme was designed.

On the iPhone issue, the Duster theme has its own “mobile” theme built in it appears. You can go to appearance > extras and disable the mobile theme and then it will look like the full theme. Not of course the optimum solution since on browsers other than Safari in iPhone it could look really bad that way.

    Your previous theme was Simpla.

H1-6 are preset styles that may differ in size or color or font or capitalization or— whatever the designers of the theme saw fit for the theme. The style of each one is totally theme dependent.
