Paragraph spacing

My paragraph spacing is not showing up. Everything is just running together. How do I fix that?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If this is the blog you are talking about, http://rosiesmrtiepants.wordpress.com/ , I see spacing between paragraphs.
Perhaps you can give us a link to where this is happening.

Open the post for edit. Select everything in the post and then from the “format” pulldown at the left end of the lower tool bar select “paragraph” and then click “update post.”
What happened was the paragraphs without the spacing somehow got wrapped in div tags instead of p tags.

I couldn’t ever figure out where the “format” pulldown was but I did understand div vs. p and my bf fixed them. Thank you for your work on this!

Hello,
I just read this and seem to be having a similar problem – I want text below my pictures, and even though in edit I hit enter enough times, once I update the page the text is to the right of the picture.
I have format set to Paragraph too… -

You can also use center alignment on the images, but left and right alignment will result in text wrapping the images.

My paragraph spacing does show up.
But what if I have to add an extra space. For example in this post .. http://gundu8.wordpress.com/2009/09/15/blues-and-haikus-jack-kerouac/
.. there is no space between paragraphs of each ‘haiku.’ That is, the poem at the end has no space between paragraphs of three lines.
Now I tried posting two paragraphs of the poem alone at first and tried your method of selecting ‘paragraph’ and it worked. But when I paste the whole post from word and select ‘paragraph’, no extra space shows up.
Thank you.

My question was probably a little vague.
What I specifically would want to know is how to create an extra line space after each interval of three lines in the poem of the link .. http://gundu8.wordpress.com/2009/09/15/blues-and-haikus-jack-kerouac/ .. identified in brown.
Thank you.

Pasting from MS Word is a problem. MS Word does not speak web, and the code that is brought in messes up wordpress, which is why wordpress now automatically strips out all MS Word code.
For poetry and such, when you put it into the editor, if you do not want a blank line between lines, press shift-return/enter. To get a blank line between press enter.
If you are on Windows, you might want to take a look at Windows Live Writer blog client which is very “Word” like and it produces very clean code that will not lose its formatting. One of the great things about WLW is that you post/publish directly from WLW, no need to copy and paste.
