Gor the Golden Age section, when they were all anthologies, I listed the characters’ serials with indentation. I like the way I present this with one exception: there is more space between the list of serials and the title they appear in than there are between the different titles. I’ve attempted to use both P and BR tags, but WordPress deletes them as soon as it refreshes.
As an example, I want the space between the lines for The Vision and Daring Mystery Comics to be as large or larger as the space between the line for Daring Mystery Comics and The Fiery Mask, and so on through the end of the section. As it is, I can edit this page only through the code editor, or the formatting is destroyed, and there is excessive spacing throughout the document.

Do I understand correctly that you’re using Classic Editor? If so, I’d strongly recommend trying the Block Editor instead. You will be able to add the Spacer Block anytime you need to leave more space between two elements:
