Paragraph Spacing no Longer Seems to Work
-
I host the blog: https://thehistoryofwesternthought.wordpress.com/2015/06/12/conducting-a-seminar-on-antigone-an-example-as-exemplar/
And until now, every post I made in the visual editor allowed for me simply to press enter to create a “space” between paragraphs. In my most recent post linked above, I did everything the same, and in the visual editor the post appears correctly, and even in the mobile app it appears published correctly. But a few of the paragraphs are running together–but not all of them. How do I fix this?

One thing that comes to mind is the two editor tabs. When you are working on a post or page, you will see two tabs in the upper right corner of the editor window. One tab is Visual and the other is Text (or HTML, depends on your editor).
If you are typing in the Visual tab and press enter, the line spacing will show up. If you are using the other tab, then the line spacing doesn’t happen. You may have been inadvertent using the Text(HTML) tab and that caused the different line breaks.
Take a minute to create a new post or edit the one above to see if you can recreate the issue. Please let me know.

Thank you! From what I can tell it was a cross-formatting issue from copying from gmail to WordPress. I ‘scrubbed’ the text in pages and then manually added the spacing in the HTML document, and that seemed to work.

Copying from other place will often carry over some weird formatting. I like to copy text to a basic text editor first, and then copy again into the new location. This way you are copying plain unformatted text and you can then adjust what needs adjusting.
