Paragraphs don’t work in my text widget

Hi There,
Im having problems with with text widget side bar. I can’t seen to paragraph the text I writ, I am using the code correctly which is<p> open paragraph and </p> close paragraph. But why isn’t it working when Im trying to put it in the text widget. Do I need to use a different widget? How do I space my sentences out and put paragraphs in my sidebar?

There are no text widgets in the blog linked to your username. If you’re talking about this blog, activate a text widget so we can see what’s wrong. If you’re talking about another blog, we need the link to it. Or paste the complete code here between backticks.

If you look at the sidebar its not in paragraphs and thats what I need on it -
