Paragraphs in preview of posts
-
Hey there,
I have this one post, which features paragraphs, unfortunately these aren’t shown in the post preview on the link I provided. How can I have the preview feature the same paragraphs as the post?
Hope you can help me out here!
Best,
Simon -
Hey Simon, do you mean line breaks in the excerpt?
The auto generated excerpt automatically strips those out, but you can edit the excerpt yourself so it’s as you like it.
Here’s how:

Hey that worked – thanks a ton!
Is it also possible to add a multitude of pictures to one post, like a folder of it?
I’d like to post informations about my favourite records to the post and add such a folder to it including high-res pictures. Any chance this is possible too? Thanks for the great support!

You can add multiple pictures to a post using an image gallery:
If you mean you want to add the image files themselves for download, it’s only possible to add individual files using the file block:
It’s not possible to add a folder containing multiple files. To do that you’d need to upload a .zip folder instead, and that requires the premium plan.

Worked too.
Any chance on how to colour certain words in a block without colouring the rest of the same block, like in order to highlight a certain thing?
-
Highlight the word you want to change with your mouse. Then click the down arrow in the block toolbar. You’ll find the text color option there:

Thanks!
Is there also any way to write seperate letters that are individually superficially (meaning on top of the letter) crossed out with a black X above it. Is this possible by any means?
Like an addition to a letter that’s striked through horizontally, just curious if this is viable anyhow.

I don’t believe that’s built into HTML. It’ll let you do an overline, an underline, a line through, and a border. So it’s not really built into the editor.
You could get hacky with CSS and HTML to achieve this effect, I’m sure. One possible solution:
Maybe you could even add JavaScript so you’ll automatically get the right number of characters. But it’s not built in and you would likely need a plugin, and therefore a Business Plan to implement it here. But if that ever becomes something you need to do, know that’s an option with a little help from a developer.
Hoping it helps.

Is there any way in order to colour my background for my main page as well as my posts without updating to the WP Pro version?
Couldn’t figure that out.Would appreciate the extra help. I’d prefer to have it coloured in a bright ‘sand’ brown.
Thanks in advance!

Hi there,
With your current theme this is not possible. To set a custom background color for your site will require the CSS tools included in the WordPress.com Premium Plan
You could try one of these themes instead, as they all offer the ability to set a custom background: https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/+custom-background
However, for your current theme there is not an option to do this, you would need to upgrade and change the color via CSS.
