Paragraphs spacing.

  I write in Word on Mac. Sometimes when I paste and copy to my blog, the paragraph breaks are there, sometimes not. It is a huge inconvenience. Why does this happen?

  Hey John,

  Because Word and WordPress.com are on different platforms (one meant to be printed, the other to be read online), the formatting from Word cannot always be “translated” by WordPress.com. Here’s my suggestion to you:

  If you want to copy/paste, you will paste your content into the Text tab (in the classic dashboard), or the HTML tab (in the new dashboard). If you do this, you will be pasting your content in a way that doesn’t including the Word formatting, which is causing the conflict.

  Then, click the Visual tab. You can do any addition formatting you need to in this tab.

  My problem is it worked fine for a years, then after you upgraded the site to the new format it stopped recognizing spacing and paragraph spacing breaks. But once in a while, last two weeks for example it did, then yesterday not! So I assumed it was something I was doing. I know how to edit, it just takes a long, long, time as my writing is mostly conversation style.
