Parallel Web site

    I have been requested by my club to run our web site.
    There is already a web site created by a previous member but I would like to create my own and publish it when ready.

    Is this possible using the same Host and domain name, to create and view to make sure it is functioning well before I go live

    I am a Newby so it will be a big learning curve.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    It is possible, but you have to create a subdomain or a sub directory such as http://www.test.avonda.co.uk and get everything up and running and move them to http://www.avonda.co.uk after you are ready to publish.

    That said the site “www.avonda.co.uk” is running the WordPress.org version of WordPress. This forum is meant for WordPress.com users. Please reach out for help in the WordPress.org support forums here. They will be able to help you better.
