Parent and Child Pages

Please help!
I am trying to make 7 child pages nestled under my Fundamental Research and Reporting page, and I can’t figure out how to do it without screwing up what I already have there! Originally I thought I could just add another page titled that and go from there, but it completely replaced the self reflection I had on my home page, so thank goodness I didn’t save that.
Or, since I don’t really know how to use wordpress yet, maybe I am using the wrong name for it. I don’t want 13 things on the left side of my page, I want to keep the 6 I have there, but I want to be able to get to 7 of the new pages I am going to create from Fundamental Research and Reporting.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Well now I totally messed it up under menus…I don’t know what i did but now all of the pages that were hidden earlier are showing up and my site doesn’t make any sense.

Hi Kaitlin, I’d suggest you make a custom menu and add it to your site. You’ve currently got a default menu, and I can see how it’s displaying things you don’t want there.
I can also see that you created a couple of custom menus, but none of them is currently selected, so you’re not seeing them anywhere yet.
Have a look at the guide to creating a custom menu:
The step you need to make sure you do after creating your menu is:
“Before you can use your new menu, you’ll need to select a Menu Location. In this example, you would check the Primary Menu box.”
If you don’t assign a menu location, then your menu won’t be displayed, and you’ll still see the default.
Let me know how it goes – we’re here to help if you get stuck again.
