Parent categories and sub-categories

    I have made a category menu, using Edin theme, with parent categories and sub categories. When I click on a parent category in the menu, I get all the posts from the parent category and the sub-categories in reverse chronological order.

    When I click on a parent, I would like to be able to get only the posts in the parent category and not the others. How do I do that?
