Parent domain and rendered domain

Is there a way I can have a domain hosted and it’s something like http://www.abc.com – that’s connected to my WordPress installation but I can go into the PHP or mySQL and get it to render as http://www.xyz.com?

  • Hi @pbrehmkli ,

There are indeed ways to install WordPress on one domain while configuring it to show another domain. You’ll need to configure your server, DNS, and WordPress itself with a reverse proxy. We don’t support it on most of our plans, but it is available in our Enterprise managed hosting. If you’re interested, you can reach out here, or let us know and we can have someone from VIP contact you.

Or, if you’re looking to handle your own WordPress instance rather than our managed services (here’s the difference), there are a handful of articles at WordPress.org about setting that up. This one may be a good starting point.

Also, thanks your patience! Our spam filter saw the ABC and XYZ and had moderated your request. Glad we could find this in our filter, and I hope this answer helps!
