Parent on the menu bar

I divided the table of contents, for my book, between two parents on the menu bar, part one and part two. At first placing the cursor over the parent would create a drop-down of all the chapters and one could select a chapter by simply moving the cursor to it.
Now the chapters drop-down; however,they disappear as soon as an attempt is made to move the cursor to one of them and cannot be selected. Sometimes if I move the cursor at the speed of light I can catch a chapter.

I am using Firefox 21 and can confirm that though the sub-menu links appear briefly as soon as I hover when I tried to click the links disappear. I tagged this thread for Themes Staff assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

I just discovered that if I bring the cursor straight down below the word “Table” in “Table of Contents Part One” (and the same in part two) all works fine. The child Chapters do not disappear; however, the cursor must come straight down below the word”Table”..
Visitors will most likely not be able to open the chapters. Tis a problem! -
Theme is Book Lite. I discovered a 10 pixel gap after the first two digits of the parent title. If the cursor comes down thru the gap, the chapters disappear. I could not use new titles: Part-one and Part-Two because the visitor still would have trouble reading the chapters. I had to change the titles to: 1 and 2. a bummer, but it now works.

I reported that my problem with the parent drop-down menu was working since I’ve reduced the title to no more than two digits. It really doesn’t work because one must hold the cursor directly on the right edge of the digit for the drop-down menu to stay in place when the cursor is moved down to select. It is very difficult to keep the drop down menu in place. Many visitors will not be able to select chapters.
The theme is Book Lite. I tried all possibilities I can think of to correct this problem and require assistance.
