Parent pages

  Hi,
  I want to create parent pages on my current blog. I’ve tried to do this by making ‘Writing’ a parent page and putting ‘Reviews’ under it. ‘Reviews’ has disappeared but ‘Writing’ is not working as a parent page, there is no drop down when I hover over it.
