Parent pages and subpage order problem/question

    Hi, I have read the documentation on page order numbering and understand how they will appear on the main blog page according to how I rank them. I also have subcategories under the main parent pages. Does the numbering system apply only to the main parent pages, or does it work on the subpages also? For example…

    If I have three main parent pages; ABOUT, CONTACT and INFO and order them 1, 2, 3 and then have a subcategory to the parent page of INFO with three pages underneath it, the subpages sort alphabetically. Can I also number those 3 subpages under a parent page? If so can you explain? I have attempted the numbering on unpublished pages to orginize before publishing, but it is not sorting as I need. Thanks

    The ordering by numbers works for the child pages, too (1 for the page you want on top etc.). Have you gone to Design>Widgets>Pages>Edit, selected “Sort by Page order”, then clicked Save Changes?
