Parent vs. Page

I have not created a parent for the menu in a while and am finding it impossible to delete some pages that became parents and to create parents for these pages. Where is the clear tutorial or instruction for this? I see I can create categories via the Post section and I can manage the Menu under appearances, but I am not able to create new parent. Pages are turning into parents and then I can’t easily delete the parent heading or edit it. More than an hour wasted …

Hi,
To see all your pages, in your Dashboard, go to Pages > All Pages.
To create a new parent, you just need to create a new page. Any page can become a parent. You set the relationship from the child page, not from the parent page, though.

got it. I created an empty page with a title, which is on the menu. But the pages I attach to it aren’t appearing. Is it possible the process is slower than with the posts?

In your Dashboard, go to Appearance > Menus to edit your menu.
Check the child pages you want to add under your parent page then click the Add to Menu button. Then drag the child page under the parent page you want it to be under. You need to click and drag the child page a little bit to the right so that it’s the child pages are a little bit indented.
