Parent wanting to blog with her kids – any way to make them users w/o email?
-
Hi! I am completely new to all of this, started a blog site to help my kids practice writing. Is there a way to make each one a user without them having their own email addresses? I can’t seem to find a way to do this. Thanks for any suggestions.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can just make dummy email addresses for them at Gmail for free and never give them the password for that account. Or you could have them blog under the same username and just type “written by Jimmy” or whatever in each one.

I suggest using the microblogging layouts that wordpress offers and setting up the dummy email addresses suggested. If you add your children’s usernames to those allowed to post, both you and they can post to the same blog.

If your email address is at gmail.com, it’s easy to create several WordPress.com accounts without needing a separate email account for each one.
Say your email address is (email visible only to moderators and staff). You can sign up for WordPress.com accounts for your kids using the email addresses (email visible only to moderators and staff) and (email visible only to moderators and staff) – the activation emails will all go to (email visible only to moderators and staff).
