Parked Domain

  Hi there,

  I spoke to you guys on Saturday February 25 when I asked for a refund on my plan. You told me the domain would be obtainable after a week, however when I was checking today I still had the domain and removed it from my account. Now it is parked at Automattic? I was told I could obtain the domain again after a week. How do I proceed?

  The domain needed to be canceled within 5 days of registration in order for it to be released quickly. When I looked at the account it looks like the domain was not cancelled until April 18th 2017.

  I’ve restored the domain back to your account. You can use it immediately here with WordPress.com or editing the DNS to point it elsewhere. If you want to transfer it to another provider that is also an option. Here are the instructions to do that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/transfer-domain-registration/

  This is the only option to guarantee you have access to the domain – otherwise it would not be available to register elsewhere until next year.
