Parked Domain

  Hi, I’ve created a domain thesidefoot.com and deleted it due to some reasons. Right now, the webpage shows, “The domain is parked”. So, my doubts are :
  1.) Can I re-buy the same domain in WordPress?
  2.) If not, how long will it take to be available for other users?
  3.) Also, if someone wishes to buy it, how they can go ahead?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there!

  When you cancel a domain it’s not released immediately, and it can take months before the domain becomes available again to register elsewhere, if at all.

  Also, note that you should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again somewhere else in future.

  thesidefoot, I have restored the domain to your WordPress.com account. It’s the only way to guarantee you can maintain ownership of it. Otherwise it would take up to a year before it becomes available again. What are your plans for the domain? Do you want to transfer ownership to another WordPress.com user account?

  Thanks @Lizarkoski for restoring the domain at ease and thanks for prompt response. As of now, I’d like to keep the domain for myself and in few days, I may or may not transfer it to another user. I’ll contact the support team if I need any other help in future.
