  Hi there,
  I have accidently cancelled my domain name, is it possible to please recover this and add it back to my account?

  Sure! We can help with that. Can you tell us if you plan on using the domain with your WordPress.com site? Or do you want to use it with a different host?

  The reason I ask is this: To use a custom domain on WordPress.com, you’ll need a paid plan. All of our yearly paid plans include a domain for the first year. So if you upgrade to a yearly paid plan again (at this link), we’ll restore the domain for you by using the free domain credit you’ll get.

  But if you plan on using the domain elsewhere, we’ll send you a manual payment request of just the price of the domain. We’ll restore the domain after you’ve paid.

  Let us know how you’d like to proceed. Please respond as soon as possible as we have a short window to restore the domain.

  Hi,

  Thank you for your reply.
  I would like to use the domain on my WordPress.com site please, I have just gone ahead and upgraded to a paid plan.
