Parked domain

  Hi! I canceled my domain and deleted the site it was used for, but it is still parked after 2 days! Can you help me to unpark it? I need to use it for another website (not wordpress).

  Hey there,

  If you want to use your domain at a different host, you should never cancel it at your current host – once you decide to cancel your domain, there is no guarantee that you will be able to reacquire it in the future. Someone else could gain access to it. Also, it usually takes a few weeks for your domain registration to clear and become available once you cancel it. However, there isn’t an exact time, so you’ll check consistently to see when it becomes available.

  If you want to keep using your domain but don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it. Instead, you can move the domain to another site
