Parse Error – I NEED HELP!
-
When I go to my website – http://www.insidethevibe.com – this is what is waiting for me:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING in /homepages/5/d98266806/htdocs/wp-includes/feed-functions.php on line 125I do not know what this means or how to get my homepage back. I haven’t done anything to my site since yesterday and it worked all day and last night. I have no access to any page on the blog except through FTP.
This is the code from line 125 on that page:
$link = apply_filters('category_feed_link', $link);If I remove the file from my site I get this:
Warning: main(/homepages/5/d98266806/htdocs/wp-includes/feed-functions.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /homepages/5/d98266806/htdocs/wp-settings.php on line 140Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/homepages/5/d98266806/htdocs/wp-includes/feed-functions.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /homepages/5/d98266806/htdocs/wp-settings.php on line 140If I remove the code at line 125 it says the same thing but line 131 instead.

Greets:
You need to be over at http://wordpress.org as that site is running different software than we have here at wp.com and our answers would be different.

I was already over there and no one got back to me. i thought .com and .org were both the same – sorry.
since i have you anyway – what is the difference between the two? thanks for the speedy reply.

“what is the difference between the two?”

WordPress.org is where you get the downloadable version of teh software that you have to find a host for.
wordpress.com runs WordPress Multiuser that doesn’t require the end user to deal with the software files. It’s a shared environment which means all of teh users use teh same software files to run their blogs.
