Part of my blog keeps getting deleted

  I have had to rewrite a section of a recent blogs THREE times. I finally thought I had finally got it to stick and I went to edit something random and the freaking thing deleted itself again. It’s right after a link and then (<< where I put in something here saying go check out that site>>). I’m so frustrated that I had to rewrite this so many times and I had just deleted it out of my notepad because I thought I didn’t need it anymore.

  Hi there. Sorry to hear about this. It sounds very frustrating.

  If that post is still a draft, copy it into a text editor/word processor to make sure it doesn’t get lost and clear your browser’s cache and cookies. Then check if it’s still happening: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

  If that doesn’t make any difference, can you please tell us which editor you’re using? The new editor is the one with the blue toolbar at the top; the classic editor has a black toolbar and it will include ‘wp-admin’ in the URL.

  Second, can you give a link to the specific post this is happening? If the post isn’t published yet, give the URL that appears in your browser when you’re editing the post as well as the post title.

  It was already posted, but I went back to edit something. Each time i did it that specific paragraph would delete after a link I put in. I wrote the paragraph three times. This last time it has stayed, but I’m still really POed that was an issue. After the link I switch the parenthesis from look like (<< text here >>) to (text here). So far it seems to be working. https://wordpress.com/post/68082518/250/

  Hi there,

  Sorry for the trouble! The editor runs into trouble when you use angle brackets like that, and I reported that issue to our team. In the meantime, the safest way to avoid that disappearing text is to use parentheses (like this), curly brackets {like this}, or square brackets [like this] instead.
