Part of my new header disappears off screen
-
I am using the “Twenty Thirteen” theme, and added my own image as a header. The image is 1600×230 pixels as advised. However, I find that the not all of the image is visible on the screen – parts of each side have vanished.
Looking at the site on a different computer, I see that even more of the image has vanished.
Am I doing something wrong, or is there a way round this. The site is bretbyphysics.wordpress.com/
Thanks for any advice.

I am wondering if it is the on your browser when you are viewing?
Try reseting the zoom of the web browser.
You can usually do this on PC by
holding {control} and tapping 0 .It looks fine to me in my browser. the ends are only cut off when I zoom in.

* first line above should say:
“I’ am wondering if it is the zoom setting on the browser when you are viewing?” -
Yes, changing the zoom allows me to see the whole of the header. But then the working part of the page becomes very small – it occupies only about a third of the width of the page, and the font becomes very small.
Is this a built-in feature? Would it be better if I used a different theme?
Thanks for your help.
