part of my website no longer working and don’t know why

I updated some information to my website yesterday (mainly editing pages), and after that when I revisited my site, one of the main pages – visible from the home page – no longer opens when I click on it. Any suggestions re what’s gone wrong and how I can fix this? Thanks

Hey Audrey,
It sounds like the link isn’t active and/or the page isn’t available for view. Got a couple of questions and things for you to check out so I can best try to help you.
Is the link you are trying to click on in the main navigation area of your site, or is it in a block within the content?
Try to right-click on the link, does the normal “open in new tab”, etc. appear as an option?
Also if you could, try to manually go to the page by typing the URL in the address bar of your browser to make sure the page is loading properly that way. If it does not, then check on the page editor to make sure it is published and publicly accessible.
Let me know what the results are, and I’ll try to provide you with a solution. :)

Thanks for your reply and suggestions.
The link I’m trying to open but won’t is in the main navigation area of my site – I have ‘Home’, ‘About’, ‘CV’, ‘Contact’, and ‘Productions’ – all open when I click on them, except ‘Productions’ for some reason.
I couldn’t find another way to open it unfortunately.
When I right clicked on ‘Productions’ – usual options do come up, including ‘open in a new tab’, but this doesn’t allow me to open it either.
I’ve no idea what changed, and maybe it’s suddenly not publicly visible, but I’m afraid I can’t open it to be able to use page editor to see the current set up or change anything…
Any ideas? Thanks very much

Hey Audrey,
I did manage to find your site and took a look at it. I looked at the source code for the link you were talking about. It is showing a placeholder (#) for the location of the page. Even when I manually typed in (what I believe to be) the URL to that page it shows a 404, so the page either got unpublished or was set to private viewing somehow.
As far as why you’re not able to access the page editor, that is something that I will leave for the WordPress staff to answer on, as I’m not sure what will cause that. I have tagged them into this conversation for your convenience, so they can better assist you.
