Part of the site with password and not only one page
-
Sorry only a stupid beginner.
I’m responsible for the website of our choir. The site we have now is simple html and does not change its layout automatically when viewed with mobile devices.
I want to make a website now using WP. A simple static site to communicate our concert information to our public. One part of the website has to contain information only accessible for members. How do I make this part of the website? I want a system where members are able to change their own information page, with picture, telephone number and adress. Is there a simple theme that contain these features? How to I setup this part of the site. This is my site:
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there,
One part of the website has to contain information only accessible for members. I want a system where members are able to change their own information page, with picture, telephone number and adress.
To start you will need to add the members you want. First you will need to decide a user role: https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/ As a caution, please read over what each user role allows people to do before adding them. This link will help guide you through how to add users to your site: https://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/
As far as the privacy setting goes, this is something you can control on each page. See here for information about how to set this option: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-visibility/
I hope this helps to answer your question :)

mihaiapetri seems to understand what I mean. I’m going to check the links that amandajackson gave too.
Thanks to all of you. -

Great :) I hope you are able to find the solution you are looking for. Keep in mind, creating a membership website will require an upgrade, whereas adding users and changing privacy settings allows you to keep everything free. Either way I’m sure you will be able to achieve exactly what you were looking for :)
Best

I noticed that. And it’s quite an expensive option for it requires a business-upgrade. But the two sites seem a good alternative. No other solutions possible outside WordPress?
