partial post showing as a pending comment on Dashboard.

Hello. I am very new to blogging and trying to learn as best I can. I just published 2 posts today and when I look at my Dashboard, it shows I have 4 pending comments. 3 of those 4 are just little bits of the 2 posts I just published. 1 is an actual pending comment. Why are the posts showing under pending comments? When I preview the post or view it since it is published, the posts looks fine.

Those comments are actually pingbacks, which occur when you link to an older post. You can read more about them here:
It’s meant as a notification system of sorts. When you link to other blogs within your posts, it will generate a pingback that will notify the other blog that you’ve linked to them. So, it can be a good way of spreading the blog love!

I think I may know why this happened now. I think it’s because my 2 posts both link to another post so the pending comment or comment needing approval is the ping back to my own post. Is this correct?
