password change/hacker

    I had an email informing me someone had requested a password change. I had not requested one. Was this an attempt at hacking? I have since changed my password as a precaution but not using the link provided.

    Could be someone trying to get into your account – could also be someone that fat fingered a password reset on their own account – as long as you don’t click on the link in the email you are fine. A password reset goes to the email associated with your account and user name, so that is why you should keep the email info current. Also don’t leave your account logged in where others can use your computer. There have be several cases where “friends” messed up an account that the blog owner left their computer unattended.
