Password confusion

How can I change a password on one blog, without it being taken over by my other blog? When I change my password at http://www.emotionalfitnesstraining.com it seems to over-ride my password at http://www.parents-are-people-too.com blog and vice-versa. I would not mind having one password for both blogs, but having to constantly reset passwords is trying me a bit bonkers.

I have asked the forums for help with this and also got a tip from support, but the problem still occurs.

    Hi there,

Can you explain a little more about what you mean by the password “being taken over”?

Your two blogs are owned by different WordPress.com accounts. Each account has its own username and password that you can use to log in and manage the blog on that account. Those accounts are completely separate, so changing your password on one account will not affect the other one.

Thank you for your reply. The accounts are separate, but don’t seem to operate that way. http://www.emotionalfitnesstraining.com (EFT)seems to dominate as a pass word keeper. By that I mean if I am logged into that account, then log out to go to my second account, I will get a message saying the password for the second account is wrong.

The only way to log in to the second account is to ask to change the password. The EFT Account comes up when I try to log in after changing the password. I have to erase that log in name and can then sign into my parenting blog. If I log out of that account, and can get into EFT, but then not back into the parenting log without changing the pass word. Very frustrating.

Don’t know how to make this any clearer. Hope you can help.

    Katherine.

    Hi Katherine,

It sounds like your browser is saving the login information for your accounts, and it is automatically filling the username/password when you visit the WordPress.com login page. Is that right?

When you have two different usernames and passwords, sometimes your browser can mess up and auto-fill the wrong login information, or the wrong password may get accidentally saved with your username. I recommend disabling that autosave/autofill option in your browser, to avoid that kind of mixup.

If you’re using Chrome, you might also want to open an Incognito Window to log in to your second account. That way, you can avoid any mixups related to switching back and forth between accounts in the same browser window.
